Mini bio
How it started.
Growing up in San Diego, Manny loved watching his mother put on makeup. He later worked at Sephora and MAC. Instagram followers encouraged him to make longer tutorials, and he told YouTube he started his channel after reaching 50,000 Instagram followers.
The breakout.
Manny became Maybelline’s first male ambassador in 2017. His work helped make space for men who wanted to wear makeup, with tutorials and a belief that anyone should be able to experiment with cosmetics.
Building his own world.
He founded Lunar Beauty in 2018, debuting with the Life’s a Drag eyeshadow palette. Its launch campaign included Alissa Ashley, Shea Couleé and Farrah Moan. In 2021, he and Laura Lee launched Fool Coverage, adding a shared podcast to his beauty work.
