Mini bio
How it started.
Before fashion became a career, dance brought Marcel to New York. A summer of classes with a friend introduced Marcel to the city and to FIT. After moving from Germany to study fashion, Marcel launched One Dapper Street on March 7, 2013, while still in school.
Finding an audience.
Early outfit photographs on Lookbook were picked up by large menswear Instagram accounts. That gave Marcel a head start when One Dapper Street launched on Instagram. In a later podcast interview, Marcel recalled publishing a blog post every day for two and a half years. The aim was to share how dressing well could help people feel better about themselves.
From outfits to design.
Marcel and fellow FIT alumnus Moti Ankari launched Ankari Floruss in October 2016. Its starting idea was seven shoes for seven days of the week. Design, branding and social media marketing became central parts of Marcel’s work on the brand. Marcel was also named creative director of Aetos in 2023.

One Dapper Street makes menswear practical through complete outfits, seasonal styling videos and capsule wardrobe guides. Recent videos include ten ways to wear Dickies work pants, a fifteen-piece Suitsupply wardrobe and a Tod’s sneaker lookbook.
