Mini bio
How it started.
Marie grew up in New Jersey and tried careers on the New York Stock Exchange floor and in magazine publishing before building a coaching business. Bartending, waiting tables, and teaching dance and fitness helped support her while she found clients.
Finding her format.
Marie says she had been publishing content since 2000 before experimenting with online video in 2010. Early videos came from a webcam in her kitchen. MarieTV grew into a home for audience questions and conversations about work and life. She also created B-School with Laura Roeder, who describes their partnership as running from 2010 to 2011.
Reaching more people.
In 2012, Marie appeared on Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday. Her company later made the 2014 Inc. 500 list. In September 2019, she published Everything Is Figureoutable, which became a number-one New York Times bestseller. The title comes from a lesson she learned from her mother.
What fans come for.
