Mini bio
How it started.
Before the cooking videos, Marion worked as an ABC journalist in Adelaide. She studied law and journalism, then left reporting to study food and wine history. Storytelling stayed at the centre of what she wanted to do.
The TV turning point.
Marion reached a wider audience on the second season of MasterChef Australia in 2010. She did not win, but the show opened doors to writing, presenting and building a food business of her own.
From family recipes to Marion’s Kitchen.
Marion and her husband Tim started Marion’s Kitchen in 2010, drawing on family recipes for their food range. The group later grew to include MAKO cookware, Asoke homewares and the CookDineHost marketplace.
A kitchen across cultures.
Her Thai mother and Australian father are part of the story behind her cooking. Now based in Noosa after living in Bangkok, Marion shares recipes and family memories on video, in books and in Flavours of Heart & Home.
