How it started.
Raised in Texas, Mark moved to Germany in 2010. He first tried heels in college with a girlfriend who shared his shoe size. Years later, boredom with conventional office clothes helped him build a wardrobe combining menswear with skirts and heels.
An outfit diary takes off.
His Instagram account began as a way to record daily outfits and avoid repeating them too often. The posts found a much wider audience in 2020, leading to magazine shoots and modeling work while he continued his engineering career.
From the platform to the runway.
In 2021, he appeared in Interview and Vogue Germany and modeled for Ninamounah’s spring campaign. He made his runway debut in the label’s fall 2022 show in Paris. His own term for the mix of masculine and feminine clothes is hybrid style.
