Mini bio
How it started.
Monalisha grew up moving around India because their father served in the Air Force. At Gargi College, photography and modelling introduced them to a creative community. After studying footwear design at FDDI in Noida and working as a junior designer at Carlton London, they developed a fashion blog and began working with brands.
Finding a format.
During the pandemic, a Pinterest video commission helped Monalisha move into video. They began sharing those videos on Instagram, where a Reel took off. Their mother suggested making saree videos, which became a focus of their work. Today, fans can find draping demonstrations alongside hair, makeup and DIY accessories.
A public milestone.
The September 2025 interview reported an audience of more than two million across Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and YouTube, and a feature on a YouTube billboard in Mumbai.
