Mini bio

How it started.

Born in New York and raised on Atlanta’s east side, Money Man told HotNewHipHop he moved south at two. After earlier attempts at rap, encouragement from people around him led him to record Black Circle in 2016. “Boss Up” became its breakout song, and he initially shared the music on YouTube.

Taking control.

The success of “Boss Up,” “How It Feel” and the Black Circle tapes led to a Cash Money deal in 2017. In 2018, he paid $250,000 to leave the contract, explaining to Pitchfork that he wanted to keep control of his earnings and release music as soon as it was ready.

The songs fans came back for.

Long Money paired him with Peewee Longway in 2019. In 2020, the Lil Baby version of “24” became a calling card, later earning a triple-platinum plaque. Blockchain followed in 2021 with “LLC” featuring Moneybagg Yo, which earned a Gold plaque in 2022.

Still adding to the catalog.

His recent run includes Insomnia, 30 Days and Predator in 2025, followed by Break The Rules Or Stay Broke and Don’t Try This At Home in 2026. Fans can follow the story one project at a time, from compact singles to full albums.
