Mini bio

How it started.

Monikh studied Fashion Design Womenswear at the University of East London, then found a different route into fashion through Topshop’s personal shopping team. Helping women feel comfortable in their clothes became central to the work.

From clients to a community.

While working at Topshop, Monikh began posting outfits on Instagram. Clients followed along, and Topshop began photographing the looks for its website. When clients asked for a blog, an assistant helped build one. Monikh told Who What Wear that a first paid opportunity arrived about a year and a half into blogging.

A wardrobe to live in.

Monikh’s approach centres on simple shapes, comfort and wearing favourite pieces again. That outlook runs through the Trust Monikh shopping column for Who What Wear and collaborations with Daphine and Faithfull. For Faithfull Volume II, the aim was a wardrobe that could travel to the beach and come home to the city.
