Mini bio
How it started.
Originally from Estonia and now based in Austin, Peep worked in software development, marketing, and sales before becoming an entrepreneur in 2007. After shutting down a struggling startup, they turned to consulting and started a conversion optimization blog in 2011 to find an audience for that work.
The blog became a business.
Writing detailed, useful articles brought in enough work to build a small agency. That business grew into the agency now called Speero, while CXL developed into a marketing training company. Peep also created the ResearchXL conversion research framework and the PXL framework for prioritizing tests.
From conversions to conversations.
Wynter began with a problem Peep faced at CXL: analytics could show what visitors did, but could not explain why the sales copy failed to connect. They launched Copytesting in 2020 and renamed it Wynter in 2021. Today, Peep leads the B2B research company, shares original research through a newsletter, and hosts How to Win, a podcast about competing in crowded markets.
