Mini bio

How it started.

Peg’s social media career grew out of ideas she shared over dinner with Kreussler executives. She suggested using Facebook to reach customers, and the company later hired her to put those ideas into practice. In a 2015 Australian Writers’ Centre interview, she recalled that the work began with things she thought would be fun and useful to try.

A book club opened a door.

Peg founded #MyBookClub on Twitter and invited Guy Kawasaki to discuss Enchantment. That connection grew into editing feedback and social media work, then a book together: The Art of Social Media, published in 2014.

Teaching what she uses.

Peg became Canva’s first head of social strategy. Her work now helps small businesses make sense of online marketing, through articles, interviews and books. Her 2024 book, The Art of Small Business Social Media, focuses on choosing platforms, planning content and engaging an online community.
