Mini bio
How it started.
Before Look de Pernille, Pernille worked as a model and fashion editor. Her editorial path included Woman, ALT for Damerne and Eurowoman, alongside styling and fashion-expert appearances on TV2’s Go’ morgen Danmark. In interviews, she has described leaving dentistry studies to pursue the fashion work she cared about.
Finding an audience.
Her blog gave her a place to share styling ideas beyond magazine pages. It grew into a full-time occupation, while her outfits drew attention from street-style photographers. She later shifted her focus to Instagram. In 2016, she and her agent Hannah Løffler Schmidt founded Social Zoo to work with talent, brands and social media campaigns.
Making things to keep.
Dress Scandinavian took her styling advice into book form, covering clothes, beauty and the home. Her design work includes Pernille x Mango and collections for Gia Borghini. She also served as ELLE Netherlands’ guest creative director in 2023 for an issue honouring Phoebe Philo.
Beyond the outfit.
Interiors are another part of her work. Her agency credits projects with 1stDibs, and her Copenhagen home has appeared in design features. Her recent fashion writing for Vogue brings fans into the decisions behind her own wardrobe, from football shirts to all-black dressing.
