Mini bio
Lucknow beginnings.
Ranveer found his way into cooking through Lucknow’s kebab shops. As a teenager, he worked with Munir Ahmed, learning about spices and watching the craft up close. He later trained at the Institute of Hotel Management in Lucknow.
From hotel kitchens to television.
His career took him through Taj kitchens, an executive chef role in Noida and the French-Asian restaurant Banq in Boston. Back in India, shows including The Great Indian Rasoi helped him bring food stories to television. He joined MasterChef India as a judge in 2015.
Recipes with a story.
His books give fans another way into his kitchen. Come into My Kitchen draws on his travels and cooking life, while A Journey Through India explores regional food, culture and history. His website keeps that conversation going with detailed recipes for home cooks.

Ranveer’s screen work now includes Modern Love Mumbai, The Buckingham Murders and Maa Ka Sum. In 2026 he also brought food trivia to YouTube with Yess Chef!, a celebrity quiz produced with 1947 Productions.
