Mini bio
How it started.
Robi grew up in a village outside La Coruña and studied film in Pasadena. Photography began as a hobby at 27. After attending a talk by Bob Richardson, Robi became the photographer’s assistant. A move from Los Angeles to London followed, in search of a place where art and commercial work could meet.
An early turning point.
Selection for the Hyères festival in 2006 brought The Birds to a wider audience. The project follows an older couple’s love and intimacy, a subject Robi approached through carefully planned photographs and a relationship built over time.
Stories in still images.
Fashion Eye London, published by Louis Vuitton in 2021, turns the city and its inhabitants into a fictional narrative. Alongside personal work, Robi photographs magazine stories and brand campaigns, including Muse’s Lilli editorial and Mugler’s 2026 campaigns.
