Mini bio

Before the newsletter.

Sahil grew up in Weston, Massachusetts, and played baseball at Stanford. He earned degrees in economics, sociology and public policy, then spent seven years working in finance, including as a private equity vice president.

Finding his readers.

Before building a public audience, he sent writing to family and friends. During the 2020 lockdowns, fewer hours spent commuting and traveling gave him space to write finance explainers on Twitter. In his Creator Science interview, he described steady publishing as the foundation of his growth. By September 2022, his Twitter following was approaching 700,000.

Going all in.

He left his traditional finance career in 2021 to focus on writing and creative work. The Curiosity Chronicle became a place to explore life beyond money. His first book, The 5 Types of Wealth, brought those ideas together around time, relationships, mental well-being, physical health and finances. A companion Life Planner followed in November 2025.

Still making things.

Alongside writing, he is the founder and managing partner of SRB Ventures and a co-founder of Wild Roman. His newsletter mixes personal experiences with questions and tools readers can try in their own lives.
