Mini bio
How it started.
Samah began Dada Eats on Instagram in 2015. Her early television career took her through NBC’s Page Program and into a production assistant job at TODAY. Producers noticed her food blog and invited her on the show as a cooking guest when she was 23. She later left to write a cookbook and build Dada Eats full time.
Food as a language.
Her parents immigrated to the United States from India. On her website, Samah describes cooking as a way to express her identity and find belonging. Her recipes often happen to be vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free, but she puts ingredients and the pleasure of cooking first. Think one-bowl brownies, blender pasta sauces and chocolate-covered dates.
From recipes to conversations.
Her debut cookbook, Dada Eats Love to Cook It, arrived on June 8, 2021. Television work includes #Cooking and How to Eat Plants for NBC’s TODAY platforms. She also creates and hosts On The Menu, an independently funded interview show, while sharing recipes and personal letters through UP TO DATE.
