Mini bio
How it started.
Sara told The Beauty Informer they began working in makeup at 16, first in film and television. Their early work included the BBC and Stargate SG-1 in Vancouver, before they moved into fashion.
Teaching and making.
Alongside makeup work, Sara founded the Academy of Makeup and an independent cosmetics brand. In the 2017 interview, they described launching the brand as a career highlight after more than five years of development.
The Yoga Skin moment.
Sara coined Yoga Skin in late 2018. The fresh, glossy complexion technique spread internationally in 2019, with Huda Beauty among those recreating it. Sara’s ROX interview described a custom mix of foundation, facial oil and illuminator, massaged into the skin.
On set and online.
Now based in London, Sara works with clients including Hannah Dodd, Aimee Lou Wood and Lucy Boynton. Their newsletter shares beauty finds and practical observations from a working makeup kit, including October 2026 posts on setting sprays and makeup for mature skin.
