Mini bio
How it started.
Serena grew up in a small country town with a love of art. The LÉBASE founder story traces the business to a bedroom desk at 16. In an interview with Hannah Tappin, Serena recalled doing friends’ makeup at school and a friend encouraging the first dedicated Facebook page. Local wedding bookings followed.
Finding a signature.
Serena saved for a combined hair and makeup course in London while working in reception, babysitting and taking makeup appointments. Back in Australia, the lighter techniques learned in the UK met a local love of bronzed skin. Instagram tutorials and a consistent style helped the business reach clients internationally.
A turning point.
In the 2019 Lou Lou Beauty interview, Serena named doing Zoë Foster Blake’s hair and makeup as a career highlight. The official portfolio also describes red carpet and campaign work, international bookings and features in Vogue Australia.
Sharing the routine.
Teaching and product development now sit alongside client work. LÉBASE brings Serena’s preference for simpler makeup routines into products including Instant Glow Skin Serum and Instant Lift Tubing Mascara. The Brisbane masterclass focused on adapting glowing skin and eye techniques to your own features.
