How it started.
Shashikala began posting cooking videos in November 2017 with help from her sons Chandan, Suraj and Pankaj. Their first upload showed her making boondi kheer. She initially asked them to keep her face off camera.
Finding her audience.
A mango pickle video took off in May 2018. Its jaggery came from her mother’s recipe. Sooji gulab jamun and rasgulla later became standout dishes. Chandan handled technical work, Pankaj filmed and Suraj edited.
Food that feels like home.
On her own website, she describes recipes built around ingredients available at home. Her children call her Amma, which inspired the channel’s name. Her recipe collection spans snacks, pickles, sweets and everyday meals.
