Mini bio

How it started.

Before blogging, Shereen worked as a stylist with Sonam and Rhea Kapoor and on Dharma films. In a 2017 interview, Shereen explained that the long hours became difficult after marriage, so a personal website became a way to build something independently. It began with fashion interests and street-style observations, without a plan to turn it into a business.

Finding an audience.

Love & Other Bugs brought together Shereen and Kayaan Contractor, with Shereen’s sister Trishala joining later. Brand collaborations followed. By 2016, the blog had a limited-edition footwear collection with Vaph; a 2017 profile described Shereen as a Maybelline IT Girl and a face of Dove’s real beauty campaign.

From posts to clothes.

Shereen and Trishala carried their shared fashion world into Monokrom. Their label’s story describes clothes designed to be mixed and interpreted by the wearer, inspired by grandparents who bought the same outfit in different colours for five daughters. Alongside creating content, Shereen continues styling, including work with Rhea Kapoor for Sonam and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
