Mini bio
How it started.
Before the books and talks, Simon worked in marketing and ran his own business. In a 2009 interview, he described losing his enthusiasm for that work in late 2005. Exploring his own purpose helped him find a new direction, and invitations to speak followed.
The question that travelled.
His 2009 TEDxPuget Sound talk introduced a wider audience to the Golden Circle: start with why, then explain how and what. Start with Why brought that idea into book form the same year. Leaders Eat Last and The Infinite Game later explored trust, teamwork and leading for the long term.
Where fans find him now.
Simon hosts A Bit of Optimism and founded The Optimism Company, which offers leadership learning. His work has also expanded into publishing through Optimism Press, a partnership with Penguin Random House.
