Mini bio
How it started.
Makeup first offered Tanielle confidence as a teenager. After school, they joined a retail makeup brand, then built experience at the counter, managing stores and teaching workshops. Their official biography describes learning to work with different skin tones, undertones, eye shapes and personal preferences.
Building something of their own.
After becoming a parent, Tanielle moved into freelance makeup for weddings and photoshoots. That client work grew into a namesake beauty business, with brushes, cosmetics and online teaching. By December 2021, they were discussing both their brush line and The Tutorial on Behind the Brush.
The latte connection.
In 2023, creator Rachel Rigler used Tanielle’s 2018 bronzed makeup look as a reference when naming the latte makeup trend. Tanielle later told Gloss Angeles that the original image came from a shoot in a friend’s backyard. Their work continues to explore warm, softly blended makeup and ways to adapt it to individual faces.

The Tutorial brings together colour theory, base makeup, eye techniques and practical makeovers in five modules. Alongside their paid course, Tanielle shares video demonstrations, including their signature brown smoky eye, and develops products such as Bronzour and Stayliner.
