Mini bio

How it started.

Before VALORANT, there was Counter-Strike. TenZ began playing at three, and at 15 went to his first LAN in Philadelphia with permission from his mother. Three days after graduating high school, he flew from British Columbia to Los Angeles to join Cloud9.

Finding VALORANT.

In April 2020, TenZ switched from CS:GO to become Cloud9’s first professional VALORANT player. In an interview with Red Bull, he explained that playing the beta had made gaming feel fun again.

The Sentinels years.

A loan to Sentinels in 2021 became a breakthrough: the team won the first international VALORANT event in Reykjavík, sweeping Fnatic 3-0 in the final. TenZ earned MVP recognition. A second Masters title followed in Madrid in 2024, with Sentinels beating Gen.G 3-2.

More time for creating.

TenZ retired from professional VALORANT in September 2024 to pursue content creation. The next chapter has included hosting the VALORANT Community Awards, designing gaming gear and joining T1 as a creator in May 2026. Fans can follow the ranked games, tutorials and esports watch parties on Twitch and YouTube.
