Mini bio
How it started.
Growing up in Salt Lake City in a family of artists and entrepreneurs, Tessa wanted to design clothes. At 16, photographing her own designs opened up a different path: she could tell stories through images. She went on to study fine art and photography. [Source: Up Next in Commerce.]
Finding her people.
She photographed bands, weddings and fashion work while sharing images online. After moving to New York City, her Instagram work took off. Followers wanted to learn her editing style, leading to educational work, prints and Lightroom presets. [Source: Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam.]
Making it easier to create.
With Cole Herrmann, her husband and an app developer, she built Tezza from their small New York studio apartment. Launched in 2018, the app brought her approach to photo editing onto phones.
