Mini bio

How it started.

Thamarr started Musings of a Curvy Lady in October 2012, on a lunch break while working as a nurse. The blog gave her a place to share personal style and beauty in her own body. Her aim was visibility: showing that fashion and a full life belong to every body.

Finding her audience.

Her outfit posts grew into a platform for women seeking style inspiration and confidence. By her 2020 Action News Jax interview, her collaborations included Anthropologie, Target, Nordstrom, Torrid, Fabletics and Princess Cruises. She was still working full-time as a progressive care nurse.

Making the leap.

In her August 2021 Goal Digger interview, Thamarr discussed moving from nursing into full-time creating. A first-generation American with parents from Haiti, she spoke about changing her definition of a secure career and making room for creative work.

Her corner of the internet.

Her work brings together feminine plus-size outfits, fragrance, beauty, home decor and travel. Her guides give fans concrete ideas to try, while her own story keeps body visibility and inclusion at the center.
