Mini bio

How it started.

Trey grew up in Edmond, Oklahoma, and began making Vine videos with friends while studying at Oklahoma State University in 2013. By his junior year, he had a million followers. He earned a finance degree and MBA, but the audience growing around his comedy opened a different path.

Finding his characters.

After Vine, Trey built audiences on Instagram and Facebook. His sketches turn familiar people into characters, especially moms and awkward middle schoolers. A middle school character became the 2020 series Middle School Maddox, with Trey playing an 11-year-old version inspired by himself.

From the phone to the stage.

Trey filmed his Are You For Real? tour finale in Chicago for a self-produced special released on YouTube in 2022. Grow Up followed on Hulu in January 2025, bringing marriage and fatherhood into an hour of stand-up, videos and music.

Life becomes material.

Based in Kansas City, Trey draws on family life for both sketches and stand-up. His children’s book How You Got Your Name grew from his baby-name comedy, while Correct Opinions gives fans a longer conversation about parenting, pop culture and everyday life. The podcast joined Nateland in 2025.
