Mini bio

How it started.

Venetia came from television production and presenting. Around 2017, while she was posting about veganism and plastic pollution, a YouTube viewer asked her to consider the fast fashion she wore. She researched it, changed her habits and began sharing what she learned.

From shopping to solidarity.

In 2020, she co-founded Remember Who Made Them with Swatee Deepak, Devi Leiper O’Malley and Ruby Johnson. Its podcast, campaign and fundraiser put garment workers and their demands at the centre. That work helped move her focus from individual shopping choices towards collective action and brand accountability.

Finding her own format.

Her campaigning mixes research with comedy. In Recipe for Disaster, she uses cooking videos to examine fashion corporations; characters including Polly Esther and Em Mission tackle greenwashing and accountability. Alongside social media, she created All The Small Things, presented The Fast Furniture Fix and writes the fashion-justice newsletter Slowly Does It.

Where to catch up now.

Her 2026 writing has followed fashion waste, secondhand shopping and dressing through pregnancy. On 23 October, she announced that she was pausing public YouTube posting and moving personal videos to Substack during maternity leave.
