Mini bio

How it started.

Mark Wilkinson grew up in South-West London and began playing drums at nine. Dance music caught their attention at 14, and college experiments with production led to a bedroom studio. A track reached Hospital Records through Cyantific and appeared on Sick Music 2; Andy C signed Wilkinson to RAM Records in 2010.

The breakthrough.

The 2013 debut Lazers Not Included introduced Wilkinson’s mix of drum and bass production and vocal songs to a wider audience. “Afterglow,” sung by Becky Hill, became the breakthrough single, reaching No. 8 on the UK Official Singles Chart. Hypnotic followed in 2017, and Portals paired Wilkinson with Sub Focus for a collaborative album in 2020.

Building their own world.

Cognition arrived on Wilkinson’s own Sleepless Music label in 2022, including “Used To This” with Issey Cross and “Here For You” with Becky Hill. Alongside DJ sets, Wilkinson developed a live band show. NIRVA brought a new live production concept to Alexandra Palace in November 2025, and Infinity followed in March 2026.
