How it started.
Yuya began posting to YouTube in 2009. In interviews, she remembers making a video for a makeup contest because she wanted to win brushes she could not afford. What began with a camera grew into a channel covering beauty, cooking and DIY.
Finding the guapuras.
Fans came for approachable makeup and hairstyle tutorials and stayed for the familiar greeting, “hola, guapuras”. Her books brought that voice to the page: Los secretos de Yuya shares beauty techniques, while Las confesiones de Yuya tells personal stories and offers advice.
Creating beyond the channel.
In 2017, Yuya launched Bailando Juntos with Republic Cosmetics. The range expanded from makeup into skin and hair care. More recently, fans have followed personal updates on Instagram, her appearance in Siddhartha’s Tú y yo y tú video and her 2025 campaign with IPSY México.
