Mini bio
How it started.
Born in Egypt and raised in Qatar, Ahmed studied fashion design at Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar. Before building House of Nomad, Ahmed worked in fashion editing and styling, including at Namshi.
Building House of Nomad.
Ahmed and longtime friend Saleh Al Banna launched their Dubai label in 2014, combining design and business experience. Ahmed left a full-time job during production of the first collection to focus on the brand. Travel and life in Dubai helped shape its identity.
From the runway to the camera.
House of Nomad presented at Fashion Forward season five in 2015 with sporty silhouettes and slogan-led pieces. Alongside personal fashion posts as Twistedcurlz, Ahmed has worked behind the camera, directing Karen Wazen’s Jo Malone London fragrance campaign in 2019.
