Mini bio
How it started.
Ahmer began writing lyrics with school friends. His brother introduced him to hip-hop, including 50 Cent, and he kept pursuing rap even when making a career of it seemed difficult in Kashmir.
Finding his voice.
His 2019 debut, Little Kid, Big Dreams, made with Sez On The Beat, brought his personal struggles and Kashmiri experiences into focus. Kasheer became an early calling card. Later that year, he wrote and produced Inqalab, responding to the lockdown in Kashmir.
Building a world in sound.
On his second album, AZLI, Ahmer explored community, memory and life in the Valley, largely in Urdu and Kashmiri. Its collaborators include poet Madhosh Balhami, Faheem Abdullah and Hyder Dar. In his interview with The Chakkar, he described albums as the place where he can tell a complete story, and spoke about giving younger musicians hope.
Still collaborating.
His recent releases include DUNYA with pho and Arif Mir, several singles with 30KEY!, and Golden Era, a 2026 EP with Rishab Raino.
