Mini bio
How it started.
Alanoud told students at Canadian University Dubai that the interest in clothes began at six, cutting up and reworking pieces bought by a parent. Freelance work, education and internships helped lay the groundwork for launching Lady Fozaza in 2011.
The blazer moment.
Statement blazers became the label’s calling card. At the same university talk, Alanoud recalled sending designs to Kim Kardashian during a Dubai visit after a friend wore one to interview her. Seeing Kim and Kourtney wearing the pieces became a defining moment for the brand.
Finding an audience.
In a Grazia interview about a 2021 People’s Choice Awards nomination, Alanoud explained that Instagram began as a place to promote the label. Followers gradually became interested in the person behind it. The work now spans personal style, clothing capsules and jewellery, including projects with Steve Madden, MAYKA and Maveroc.
