Mini bio

How it started.

Annabel began developing recipes while trying to tempt her fussy baby son to eat. After the death of her infant daughter, she poured her energy into making food for children. That personal beginning became The Complete Baby and Toddler Meal Planner, published in 1991.

Finding her readers.

Her debut cookbook established a career built around helping parents feed their children. She has since published more than 50 cookbooks and expanded into a recipe app, supermarket meals and brand partnerships. Her work ranges from first tastes and finger foods to meals the whole family can share.

Still creating.

Books remain part of Annabel’s everyday work alongside recipes and feeding support online. Finger Foods for Babies and Toddlers arrived in 2025, followed by collaborations in 2026 on a parent guide and a restaurant children’s menu.
