Mini bio
How it started.
Anwar began posting comedy on Vine in 2013, filming sketches at home with brothers. The response to the first video encouraged Anwar to treat creating as a job. Six-second comedy brought a following of nearly four million before the move to YouTube.
A bigger canvas.
Shots Studios helped Anwar launch a YouTube channel in mid-2016. Character sketches brought collaborations with Lele Pons, Inanna Sarkis and Hannah Stocking. Videos such as Most Wanted Killer and Lie Detector became enduring parts of the channel. Anwar also directed the video for the Alesso and KO:YU remix of Anitta’s Vai Malandra.
Cooking with family.
Cooking videos with mother Amal inspired Anwar’s Kitchen in Los Angeles. The restaurant drew on Amal’s recipes and Anwar’s interest in fusion food. Anwar announced the venture in December 2020, turning a family collaboration on camera into a shared restaurant business.
Beyond the channel.
Anwar appears as Thunder in the 2023 Netflix comedy Family Switch, alongside Hannah Stocking as Lightning. In 2026, YouTube featured Anwar among its World Cup creators, bringing physical comedy and football fan parodies to the tournament.
