Mini bio

How it started.

After moving to Australia following her marriage, Archana hoped to continue working in software testing. While looking for work, she and Sudarshan began sharing simple recipes online. In her 2019 SheThePeople interview, she recalled taking the entrepreneurial plunge in 2016 after the response to their short Facebook videos.

Finding the format.

BuzzFeed’s Tasty inspired the couple to try short cooking videos for Indian vegetarian food. Outlook Business describes a viral rava dosa video as the turning point that encouraged them to invest in equipment and post regularly. The camera stayed close to the cooking, a format fans could follow without a spoken narration.

Food you can follow.

Archana pairs short videos with written methods, step photos and notes. Her own author page says the aim is to use simple, easily available ingredients. The recipes range from Udupi favourites to curries, street food and sweets.
