Mini bio
How it started.
Long before the recipe posts, Jason was cooking for people around him. In a 2020 Baseball BBQ interview, he said he had cooked privately for more than 30 years and also offered catering and special events. He described barbecue as a way to relax, and said he had recently put more focus on sharing his life, recipes and techniques.

Baseball BBQ profiled him in 2020 and published his tri-tip, brisket and rib recipes in 2021. That year, Meat District also introduced him among the chef ambassadors taking part in its Ultimate O.G. Chef Battle.

His website centers on approachable backyard cooking and his own seasonings. Jason says sharing cooks, tips and time around the grill has brought together more than 200,000 fans across social media. His October 2026 recipe guides cover tri-tip, party ribs, smoked cream cheese and Magical Brisket.
