Mini bio

How it started.

Ajey Nagar grew up in Faridabad and began uploading to YouTube at age 10. In a Femina interview, Ajey traced the main channel to Addicted A1 in 2014, posting gameplay with reactions. The next version, CarryDeol, paired Counter-Strike with Sunny Deol impressions. The gaming community shared the videos, and the channel later became CarryMinati as roasts took over.

Finding an audience.

Hindi roasts, reactions and sketches became the channel’s core. The 2020 YouTube vs TikTok video brought a much wider audience, but YouTube removed it for violating harassment and cyberbullying rules. In a later interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Ajey reflected on the pressure of that sudden growth and the difference between the public persona and everyday life.

Beyond the roast.

Gaming continues on CarryisLive, while music releases include Yalgaar and Jalwa with Wily Frenzy. Ajey also made a cameo in the 2022 film Runway 34. By the 2025 Hollywood Reporter India interview, writing and directing feature films had become a stated ambition.
