Mini bio
How it started.
Charity grew up on a farm near Sacramento, with her mother’s Puerto Rican cooking and her grandmother’s Creole dishes shaping her taste. She trained at Le Cordon Bleu before building a career as a chef.
A family change became a calling.
Her family’s move toward plant-based eating redirected her cooking. Preparing meals for her husband, Tennessee Titans linebacker Derrick Morgan, grew into cooking for other professional athletes. Her appearance in The Game Changers brought that work to a wider audience.
Making familiar food with plants.
Her first cookbook, Unbelievably Vegan, arrived in January 2022 with more than 100 recipes and a foreword by Venus Williams. In 2024, her Max special took her approach into Nashville’s Germantown Pub, where she worked on vegan versions of the restaurant’s comfort food.
