Mini bio
How it started.
Daniel Orta makes music under the name Claire Anne Carr. Their Bandcamp account places them in Tepic, Mexico, and describes work composing for indie video games, webshows and soundtracks. The solo catalogue begins with KORADO ZERO OST, recorded in 2009 and released in January 2010 after the band EIMIN went on hiatus.
Finding a fandom.
My Little Pony rock covers became a recurring part of the catalogue. MLP RocK! arrived in January 2012, followed by further collections including Sheer Pony Attack in 2013 and Pony at the Opera in 2015. These records revisit songs from Friendship Is Magic with rock arrangements and instrumental versions.
Original worlds.
Original work runs alongside the covers. Orta wrote and produced Sounds of a Human Soul, released in February 2012, using orchestral sounds and vintage electronics. KORADO ZERO OST follows the journey of a fictional heroine named Karen; Orta handled its lyrics, music, production, editing, mixing and recording.
Crazy Piano and beyond.
The Crazy Piano series brings together game themes, animation songs and pop music. Recent uploads range from Balatro and Deltarune to “APT.” and “Golden.” The creator’s Patreon archive also records an original piece called “Glass Piano,” shared to celebrate 100,000 subscribers.
