Mini bio
How it started.
Mikhail Varshavski moved from Russia to New York with his family as a child. He studied life sciences and osteopathic medicine at New York Institute of Technology, then began sharing his medical training and everyday life online during residency.
The breakout.
His Instagram drew wider attention in 2015 after BuzzFeed featured him and People named him “Sexiest Doctor Alive.” He went on to build a YouTube channel around health education, medical myths, and reactions to the medicine shown on television.
Beyond the exam room.
His work also includes The Checkup, launched in 2022, where guests from medicine, entertainment, sports, and politics talk about health. He founded the Limitless Tomorrow Foundation in 2015 to help students financially. His official site says his Patreon proceeds are donated to causes chosen by patrons.
