Mini bio

How it started.

Dustin loved dinosaurs as a child, studied human evolutionary biology in college, and rediscovered that fascination while working in education at the American Museum of Natural History. His teaching background also includes the New York Hall of Science and classroom teaching.

Finding his people.

His early Dinosaur Whisperer Instagram pictures placed realistically sized dinosaurs into recognizable New York scenes. The Dinosaur Show brought that curiosity to YouTube, where he writes, produces and hosts. He told THEMUSEUM he started it because he wanted dinosaur videos that could both entertain and teach.

From posts to books.

In his I Know Dino interview, Dustin explained that DK approached him after seeing his Instagram work and the accessible style of his museum tours. That collaboration led to Utterly Amazing Dinosaur and Dinosaur A to Z. His later book The Museum, illustrated by Laura Martín, takes children behind the exhibits.

Museums as adventures.

Dustin’s work with Museum Hack included leading its science team and creating adult museum experiences. His own website now offers customized museum tours and events, including visits to the American Museum of Natural History and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, with stories, challenges and photo opportunities.
