Mini bio

How it started.

Before Instagram, Gala found creative connections through MySpace and Fotolog from A Coruña. In 2007, while studying at the University of the Arts London, they opened Amlul, sharing outfits and nights out. That personal fashion diary became the starting point for a career in digital fashion.

From posting to designing.

Gala worked as creative director of Línea U by Adolfo Domínguez, their uncle, between 2006 and 2010. In 2018 they published #GALACONFIDENTIAL. A year later, Amlul became a clothing label as well as the name fans knew from the blog.

A wardrobe with its own rhythm.

Amlul describes its approach as seasonless, with limited editions made in Spain and an emphasis on responsible consumption. Gala brought that idea to the 080 Barcelona Fashion runway with Sunrise to Sunset in 2022 and The Secret Garden in 2023. Today, designing and running the label sits alongside their work as a creator.
