Mini bio
How it started.
Genevieve and her husband Michael began making YouTube videos in 2010 to document their first pregnancy. That family project grew into Mama Natural, with articles, videos, books, and classes for parents.
Finding her audience.
Her comedy series Sh*t Crunchy Mamas Say grew out of ideas submitted by her Facebook community. She recalls that its first video reached a few hundred thousand people in its first days, leading to more installments.
From videos to teaching.
She created the Mama Natural Birth Course with certified nurse midwife Maura Winkler. In 2020, she partnered with pediatrician Elisa Song to launch the Mama Natural Baby Care Course. Her pregnancy guide returned in a revised edition in May 2025.
