Mini bio
How it started.
Roi Fabito was born in the Philippines and grew up between there and Durham, North Carolina. He began making YouTube videos in 2006, starting with sketches and friends. In college, he switched from computer engineering to film, then moved to Los Angeles after graduating.
The Wassabi years.
With Alex Wassabi, Roi made comedy sketches and music parodies as Wassabi Productions. Their 2012 “Call Me Maybe” parody introduced many viewers to Rolanda, the character Roi played. He later told Passionfruit that creating characters taught him how to build a lasting connection with an audience.
Going Guava.
Roi left Wassabi Productions in 2016 to focus on his own work. Guava Juice became a home for challenges, bathtub experiments, DIY projects, and playful gadget tests. In a 2018 interview, he named reaching 10 million subscribers in two years as a milestone he was especially proud of.
Beyond the videos.
His projects include Guava Toys, the 2018 album Stay Juicy with The Remix Bros, and The Guava Juice Show. The animated series turns the familiar bathtub into a vehicle for multiverse adventures, with Roi voicing a teenage version of himself alongside Jenny and a talking guava.
