Mini bio
How it started.
Jackson was a musician in Boulder, Colorado, when a job opening led him to the Humane Society of Boulder Valley. He spent about a decade there, learning from cats, books and trainers. Helping people solve behavior problems at home became a way to keep cats from being surrendered.

My Cat from Hell brought his work into viewers’ homes in 2011. As host and executive producer, he helped families understand the behavior behind their conflicts with cats. His books extend that work, from the memoir Cat Daddy to home design guides written with Kate Benjamin and the behavior handbook Total Cat Mojo.
A life beyond the show.
He founded the Jackson Galaxy Project in 2015 to improve life for at-risk animals and support the people caring for them. Today his videos and articles turn questions about play, territory and routine into practical help for cat guardians, alongside his continuing work with shelters and rescues.
