Mini bio

How it started.

Jane’s love of baking grew around her grandmother’s annotated cookbooks. She chose cookery school over university, trained at Ashburton Chefs Academy in 2014 and started Jane’s Patisserie that November. What began as a place to keep developing recipes became her full-time work in February 2018.

From blog to bookshelf.

Her debut cookbook, Jane’s Patisserie, reached number one in the UK Official Top 50 in August 2021, selling 44,444 copies in its first three days. Her publisher describes it as the fastest-selling baking book of all time. Further collections include Celebrate!, Everyday, Easy Favourites and Classic, followed by Christmas in November 2026.

Baking with confidence.

Jane writes recipes for beginners and experienced bakers, covering cakes, cookies, traybakes, desserts and savoury dishes. Ingredient swaps and practical tips are part of the appeal. Alongside her blog and recipe videos, she demonstrates bakes at food shows and has appeared on This Morning.
