How it started.
Jarvis grew up in Gainesville, Florida, and studied computer science at Georgia Tech. Before making videos full-time, he worked in software engineering at Yelp and Patreon. His early YouTube uploads included RuneScape clips and High School Musical dancing. After a long break, a visit to VidCon in 2017 encouraged him to start posting again.
Finding his voice.
His videos moved from personal stories and software engineering into comedy about the internet. His 2018 5-Minute Crafts video became a breakout, and he went full-time in 2019. Content farms, dubious life hacks, social media trends and reality TV became recurring subjects.
