Mini bio

Family recipes first.

Jenny was born in Mexico and moved to Los Angeles at four. Her cooking grew from the recipes passed down through her family. In a 2026 interview, she recalled helping her mother in the kitchen at eight and cooking independently by thirteen.

From the day job to TikTok.

Before cooking became her career, Jenny worked in forklift sales. Her daughter encouraged her to try TikTok and filmed her making her mother’s birria during the pandemic. The video reached a million viewers overnight, and a follow-up used the leftovers for quesadillas. Fans found familiar family food in her Spanish-and-English cooking videos.

Recipes you can keep.

Her first cookbook, My Mexican Mesa, Y Listo!, came out on April 30, 2024. Its 100 recipes span breakfast, tacos, tamales, salsas, desserts and cocktails. The publisher lists it as a national bestseller. Jenny has also brought her cooking and sense of home to product collaborations, including an expanded JCPenney home collection in 2026.
