Mini bio

How it started.

Growing up in Modesto, California, Jeremiah found a way into design by taking furniture apart and building it again. In an early Out interview, he described teaching himself through books and trial and error before working on homes and nightclubs.

Finding his direction.

He founded Jeremiah Brent Design in 2011 and became familiar to television viewers through The Rachel Zoe Project. He later credited Zoe with recognizing how animated he became when he talked about interiors and encouraging that part of his work.

Making room for people.

With husband Nate Berkus, he brought personal renovation stories to The Nate & Jeremiah Home Project. Netflix’s Say I Do put that same care into weddings, and Queer Eye brought him into the Fab Five as the design expert for its final two seasons.

Beyond the screen.

His 2024 book, The Space That Keeps You, explores the emotional meaning of home. Alongside his design practice, he has created furniture and decor for Crate & Barrel, rugs and pillows for Loloi, and bedding for Target.
