Mini bio

How it started.

Jesy grew up in Romford and worked as a barmaid before entering The X Factor in 2011. Put together with Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, she became part of Little Mix, the first girl group to win the show.

Finding her own voice.

After leaving Little Mix in December 2020, Jesy released Boyz with Nicki Minaj in 2021. It reached number four on the UK singles chart. Bad Thing followed in April 2023, with a video supporting Women’s Aid and drawing attention to domestic abuse.

Opening up on screen.

Her 2019 BBC documentary Odd One Out explored body image, mental health and online bullying. It won a National Television Award in 2020. In 2026, Life After Little Mix followed her journey into motherhood, while Life Changing focused on her family’s experience of SMA and her screening campaign.

A new focus.

Jesy became a patron of SMA UK after her twin daughters were diagnosed with SMA type 1. Alongside sharing her own experience, she has worked with the charity to press for earlier newborn screening.
