Mini bio

How it started.

Jordan started writing sketches in a comedy group at UC Santa Cruz and found that writing was the part he loved most. He met Jesse Thorn there in 2000, when Jesse was his resident advisor. Along with Gene O’Neill, they started The Sound of Young America. After graduating in 2004, Jordan moved to Los Angeles to pursue television.

A familiar voice and face.

His work spans the chat comedy of Jordan, Jesse, Go!, television writing on @midnight, Unikitty! and Earth to Ned, and appearances as Cotton Candy Randy on Good Mythical Morning. On Free With Ads, he and Emily Fleming turn their shared taste for odd movies and saving money into a weekly film podcast.

From audio to the page.

Bubble became a bridge into comics: he created the sci-fi comedy podcast, then co-wrote its 2021 graphic novel with Sarah Morgan, illustrated by Tony Cliff with colors by Natalie Riess. The book received two Eisner nominations. His 2024 graphic novel Youth Group, illustrated by Bowen McCurdy, puts a young goth in the middle of a church youth group’s secret demon-hunting war.

More worlds to play in.

By 2026, his comics work includes Predator: Bloodshed, Amazing Spider-Man: Spider-Versity and The Amazing Venom. His own books mix monsters with everyday awkwardness, while his podcasts leave room for friends, guests and very silly conversations.
